birthday this Fall! We are
planning a “Coming of Age” Birthday Party as our theme this
year. We are very enthusiastic about our plans for this year’s
anniversary dinner and our annual World of Working Women
Conference & Career Fair. We are combining our two major events
into a single memorable Conference Package—two nights and three
days at the Sheraton LaGuardia Hotel scheduled for Thursday
evening on September 25, 2008, Friday, September 26, 2008 and
Saturday, September 27, 2008. You can select any/all parts of
this package—Anniversary Dinner; World of Working Women
Conference; and Saturday events. You will have the opportunity
to participate in some of the activities at our hotel location.
You won’t have to travel far to experience some of the special
restaurants, visit historic landmarks in Queens and do it easily
and with friends.
Part One: Our “Coming of Age” Birthday
Party begins at 6 pm with cocktails at the Sheraton LaGuardia
Flushing Hotel to be followed by dinner at 7 pm. We will
continue to honor our Leadership Women of Distinction and “Good
Guys” and the evening will include an exciting musical program,
“Women and Jazz!” If you have selected the package, don’t go
home but stay at this beautiful hotel in the heart of
picturesque and exotic Flushing.
Part Two:
On Friday morning, the World of Working Women Conference begins
at 9 am and continues until 4 in the afternoon. The day begins
with a panel of successful business women, followed by a Career
Fair with companies and organizations ready to talk to women
about job opportunities. We will be running concurrent workshops
on various issues that concern working women and employment. The
day ends with our popular “Dress for Success” Fashion Show.
Package holders have choices of a number of interesting
activities for the afternoon and evening.
Part Three:
Stay overnight for a second night at the hotel and use a
leisurely Saturday to finish your shopping and/or sightseeing.
